In a post just over a year ago I recommended you take a look at Seesaw. Since then they have made some more improvements. Here I will list 4 of them for you.

Multiple URLs on the Canvas

Multiple URLs on the canvas makes using Seesaw to create choice boards super easy. Any object on the canvas can have a link applied to it. Just select the object and click the three dots menu and choose the link option.

Adding Videos

The second new feature is that you can now add a video to each page of the activity.  The video can be recorded using your webcam (up to 5 minutes) or uploaded from your computer (up to 500Mb in Size). read more

Flipgrid’s Video Shorts tool is an excellent way to create instructional videos. Flipgrid’s recorder allows you to create a video using a Webcam, Screencast, upload a video from your computer, and combine all three methods into one amazing instructional video clip. The maximum length of the recording is 15-minutes.

Once you create the video, you can download the file or share it to Classroom, Teams, Remind, or via URL or QR Code.

At this current time of COVID-19, we are all getting inundated with many emails and resources. I wanted to highlight one resource that should not be missed, and can easily be used during this remote learning time. 

Bookflix is one of INFOhio’s many resources for teachers, students, and parents of Ohio. This resource focuses on reading and ELA activities. Teachers and students are able to find books to read along with and complete activities that match them. 

When you visit the INFOhio homepage, you can find Bookflix under the Ages 3-5 button and also the Grades K-5 button.  Once in Bookflix, you can pick a category, search by title, or even change it to Spanish. read more

As a Google Certified Trainer we are required each year to complete a recertification process and this year it included creating an account on a new service called Workbench. It turns out that in late 2019, Google purchased Workbench as a new tool ideally suited for educators to “discover great lessons and rework them to use in their classrooms.”

Put simply, Workbench is a platform that offers a simple way of sharing lessons with your students. Lessons can be shared via Google Classroom and are tracked in Workbook via the workbook feature.  read more
