Customize Your Charts in Google Sheets

Google Sheets is a great tool to use to help keep track of data, analyze numbers, make calculations, etc. One of the many features of Sheets is the fact that you can create charts to visualize your data. There are various charts you can use and you can also customize them to make certain parts stand out.

One of my favorite charts to use (depending on what kind of data you are analyzing) is the pie chart. First, you highlight all your data and then click on the chart icon. Once your chart is created, you can begin to customize it using the customize tab in your chart editor.

This first option under customize is Chart Style. Here you can change colors/fonts and also make your pie chart 3D.

Now, my favorite part, under the Pie Slice part of the Chart Editor is the ability to choose a distance from the center. This will bring out a piece of the pie. You can designate which piece by selecting it from the drop-down menu.

There are so many neat features of Google Sheets, but I hope these small tips will help you with analyzing your data.
